A lot happened this year already over here.
Although we are only three months in, it feels a long time ago No-Code Sale started. Time flies ✈️
With the merge with No-Code Exits we announced at the last event,
it’s time for a recap to reflect on what got us here.
Merge?
Yes, No-Code Sale is now part No-Code Exits, as I’m teaming up with Katt Risen.
Together we’re going to help makers to make an exit in the No-Code Exits Club
But don’t worry:
The live sale events are here to stay 😃 (aka No-Code Garage Sale)
Talking about the Garage Sale 👀
Here’s an overview of the products you can acquire from last event 💡
Idea 💡
No-Code Sale started after an experiment in January with a live pitch event: the No-Code Garage Sale 📦
The idea for this originated after catching up in December with Miguel, my peer from the No-Code MVP Bootcamp in October '21. It's been a while, so we were talking about everything we built since the last time.
We both built a lot of small products, most of which are not even launched and marketed properly. We figured probably a lot of other No-Code makers relate to this, as this is both a blessing and a curse of No-Code:
It’s really easy to build a new idea with No-Code,
but if you have a lot of ideas..
you’ll end up with a full dashboard soon 😅
Like my own Softr dashboard..
But deleting your old ideas is hard… 😢
However, sometimes it’s necessary to clean up, to create more focus for your current projects 🧹 If binning your old build is not an option, perhaps makers rather want to give them a second chance with someone else. Like with your old stuff, at a real garage sale ♻️
MVP 🚧
To see whether makers would be interested in this I set up a zoom event in January (No-Code Garage Sale) and invited a group of makers to list an old build for sale.
Miguel helped me with organizing the 1st edition, and the results were great:
✅ almost all makers I asked listed a product as they related to the problem
💰 the first acquisitions came in quickly after the first event
🥰 and visitors of the event were very positive, both sellers and buyers
That’s why I decided to move on with it, and build it out with a website, directory, substack, youtube:
No-Code Sale was born 🐣
Katt 🙋♀️
At this point, Katt was already involved a little bit by sharing the events in her newsletter
. This collaboration does not come out of the blue:I met Katt a year ago, during the No-Code MVP Bootcamp in February ‘22. Since we both speak Dutch, and both are super excited about No-Code, we immediately clicked. From then on we are chatting daily about No-Code, the makers we follow, and ideas 💡
That’s also how the idea of the merge came up. The pieces for this really fell together in March, after we started with the Build To Sell Challenge. This was another MVP for No-Code Sale, to test whether makers are game to build something to sell at the next garage sale... 🧑🔬
The first group of makers was really enthusiastic, and the results are very encouraging too:
Of the participants that completed the challenge, 100% sold their product 🤩Moreover, all of them wanted to do more of this.
That’s where everything came together for us.. 🚀
No-Code Exits Club 🎉
With the No-Code Exits Club we’re bringing together our products, qualities and experience to help makers to make a nice exit:
💌 The No-Code Exits newsletter
💡 All the guides Katt wrote
💰 Our sale events and directory at No-Code Sale
🚀 The Build To Sell Challenge
🧠 And our community and bootcamp experience
Here’s how this works:
Good news for buyers too 🤗
The merge is also good news if you’re more interested in acquiring a No-Code product, instead of building it yourself:
To make our new club to a big success for the members (makers), we’ll have to make sure that the products they create are attractive for potential buyers. Investing time in this together with the members, we’ll make sure that a lot of interesting products will come in for you to acquire at our sale events 🤗
Next steps 🗓️
The kickoff of the No-Code Exits Club is on Tuesday (April 18th). Registration for No-Code makers is open until Monday.
Our next No-Code Garage Sale is on April 26, as always the last Wednesday of the month. You can join us here.
I’m very excited about this collaboration,
and am looking forward to support our members along the road to an exit 🚀
Talking about exits 👀
Don’t sleep over the No-Code products for sale from last event 💡
